National Hospital Week 2025: Honoring the Heart of Healthcare

Healthcare starts with the dedication, empathy, and passion of hospital teams across America.

That’s why we are excited to honor National Hospital Week 2025 from May 11-17 by acknowledging the physicians, APPs, and staff who ensure our facilities operate efficiently.

The American Hospital Association hosts this national celebration each year. We take pride in participating in the AHA’s #WeAreHealthcare campaign, joining forces with over 7 million healthcare professionals.

Why Hospital Week Matters to Us

As a trusted medical staffing and hospital practice partner for facilities across the United States, we’ve witnessed firsthand the immense challenges that hospitals and providers face. There are currently 5,129 community hospitals in the US, but this number has decreased by 15% since 1975, primarily due to financial strain and consolidation.

The lack of adequate facilities has squeezed more patients into fewer hospitals, resulting in heavier workloads and rising mental health concerns for physicians and APPs. This has led to an unsustainable situation.

As the demand for quality patient care continues to rise, the industry is projected to face a shortage of 86,000 physicians by 2036. The shortage won’t be resolved without action, given the systemic problems of an aging population, the retirement of older physicians, and stagnant growth in GME positions.

How We’re Helping Hospitals

OnCall Solutions is ideally equipped to tackle these workforce issues. We have a strong, national bench of physicians and APPs ready to work today. Our healthcare staffing solutions support moonlighting, locum tenens, float pool, and permanent placement.

OnCall Solutions partners with healthcare facilities of all sizes across the country to deliver the right clinician at the right time, improving patient outcomes and allowing providers to manage their schedules better and maintain work-life balance.

We appreciate the physicians and APPs who consistently provide exceptional care and the hospital practice partners who rely on us to address their staffing needs. By working together, we can develop more sustainable solutions for the future of healthcare.

During this National Hospital Week, we honor the strength, resilience, and dedication of America’s hospital workforce. You consistently navigate significant challenges and emotionally taxing work to provide excellent care each day. Thank you!
