Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist | Inpatient | No Call | Connecticut

WORKSITE SETTING: • Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit • Ambulatory Child Psychiatric Center • Hospital-based behavioral health environment SCOPE OF WORK: • Provide psychiatric evaluation, assessment, and treatment for child and adolescent patients across inpatient and ambulatory settings. • Deliver vacation and per diem coverage for established staff psychiatrists while maintaining continuity of care. • Support comprehensive psychiatric services for a wide range of pediatric mental health conditions. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Evaluate and manage 5 to 10 pediatric psychiatric patients daily within the ambulatory setting. • Conduct psychiatric intakes, consultations, and comprehensive diagnostic assessments. • Develop and manage treatment plans for patients with varying psychiatric diagnoses. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across inpatient and outpatient programs. • Complete timely and accurate documentation within EPIC. VOLUME | SUPPORT: • Average ambulatory volume of 5 to 10 patients per day. • Dedicated inpatient behavioral health team. • Full interdisciplinary support including therapists, nurses, and case management staff. • Established clinical infrastructure START DATE: • ASAP; Upon completion of credentialing ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: • Ongoing SCHEDULE: • Monday-Friday • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM • Eight-hour workday with 30-minute lunch • No overtime permitted • No on-call responsibilities
