Orthopedic Surgeon – Level III Trauma – New York

SCOPE OF WORK: • Provide orthopedic trauma coverage for hospitalized and emergency department patients requiring orthopedic evaluation and treatment. • Perform surgical and non-surgical orthopedic trauma interventions as clinically indicated while coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide 24-hour orthopedic trauma call coverage. • Evaluate and treat orthopedic trauma patients in inpatient and emergency settings. • Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic trauma procedures as needed. • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to support patient care and treatment planning. VOLUME | SUPPORT: • Approximately 10 patients per week. • Average of one call-in per week. • APP Hospitalist coverage available during daytime hours. • Teal Team coverage supports nights and weekends. • Additional physician coverage needed.
