Pediatric Neurologist *Epilepsy | Locums Opportunity | South Carolina

SCOPE OF WORK: • Provide inpatient pediatric epilepsy coverage for assigned coverage periods. • Evaluate and manage patients within the epilepsy monitoring unit. • Interpret inpatient and outpatient EEG studies. • Deliver overnight EEG monitoring and interpretation remotely as scheduled. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage epilepsy monitoring unit patients with an average census of 4-6 patients per week. • Read approximately 8 inpatient EEGs daily. • Read approximately 10 outpatient EEGs daily. • Provide overnight EEG interpretation support averaging 5 EEGs per night. VOLUME | SUPPORT: • Epilepsy Monitoring Unit volume averages 4-6 patients weekly. • Approximately 18 EEG interpretations per day across inpatient and outpatient settings. • Overnight volume averages 5 EEG studies per night. • MUSC provides laptop equipment and Natus software access for remote coverage. SCHEDULE: • 24-hour shift coverage from Monday 8:00 AM to Monday 8:00 AM. • Overnight EEG coverage provided remotely from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM. • Options may include individual night coverage, full seven-night coverage blocks, or weekend coverage assignments. • Remote Night EEG Coverage: 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM, fully remote. • Coverage options include: ? Individual night coverage (5:00 PM to 8:00 AM) ? Full week coverage consisting of 7 consecutive nights Weekend coverage beginning Friday at 5:00 PM through Saturday at 8:00 AM, followed by 24-hour coverage shifts Saturday 8:00 AM to Sunday 8:00 AM and Sunday 8:00 AM to Monday 8:00 AM
