Pediatric Neurologist | Locums Opportunity | SC | 24hr call – 7 consecutive shifts/month

SCOPE OF WORK: • Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric neurology coverage during assigned shifts. • Evaluate new consults and manage ongoing neurological care plans. • Collaborate with residents, nursing teams, specialists, and hospital staff. • Deliver care across multiple pediatric care settings as needed. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Round daily with the resident team on assigned patients. • Provide neurology consultations for inpatient units, ICU, NICU, and emergency department patients. • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric neurologic conditions. • Respond to pager call inquiries, consultations, and caregiver communications. • Document care and treatment recommendations in accordance with facility standards. VOLUME | SUPPORT: • Average daily census of 6-12 inpatients. • Pager call averages 4-8 calls per night, including consultations and caregiver inquiries. • Resident team support available during patient rounding and care coordination. • Multidisciplinary pediatric hospital environment with established specialty resources. WORKSITE SETTING: • Academic pediatric hospital. • Inpatient neurology service within a tertiary care children’s hospital. • Coverage includes ICU, NICU, emergency department, and inpatient consult environments. START DATE: • October 5, 2026 ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: • Ongoing coverage need. One week of coverage per month consisting of seven consecutive days.
