Dr. Shapiro began moonlighting during his third year of residency to secure additional income while maintaining the flexibility required for his training program. His exposure to staffing agencies revealed a common practice of treating physicians as mere CVs, lacking personal attention.

As a staunch advocate for providing physicians and clinicians with opportunities for supplemental income, experience enrichment, network expansion, work-life balance and control over their schedules, Dr. Shapiro founded OnCall Solutions 20 years ago. OnCall Solutions proudly provides an elevated experience in staffing and recruiting through our distinguished group of Board-Certified Chief Medical Officers. These professionals collaborate with you, offering peer support and guidance throughout your journey, ensuring a unique and supportive experience. With a mission of providing the best opportunities to pursue the desired clinical experiences, maximize financial opportunities, and optimize lifestyle preferences, Dr. Shapiro has grown OnCall Solutions from one state, to offering job opportunities nationwide.

Scott has been married to his wife Marci for 24 years. They have three daughters and a miniature goldendoodle. Scott and his family love to ski, spend summer weekends at the Jersey Shore, and are big fans of their Philadelphia sports teams.

Ralph Gonzalez, MD

Dr. Gonzalez earned his medical degree from Temple University and completed his residency training at Christiana Care in Delaware. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he has held key positions, including Hospital Chief Medical Officer, Section Chief of Hospital Medicine, and Associate Medical Director.

Sharing a deep belief in OnCall Solutions' long-term mission and aspiring to contribute to the unique physician experience, Dr. Gonzalez has joined us as Executive Chief Medical Officer, spearheading efforts for both clinical and business excellence.

Outside of work, Ralph enjoys travel, hiking, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Rick Hasty, MD

Chief Medical Officer, Anesthesia

Dr. Rick Hasty brings extensive medical expertise and passion for patient care to OnCall Solutions, where he serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Anesthesia. Earning his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame before pursuing medicine at the University of Miami, Dr. Hasty developed a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing clinical practices.

With a strong focus on improving surgical recovery, Dr. Hasty is committed to implementing Enhanced Recovery After Anesthesia (ERAS) protocols to optimize patient recovery times and overall surgical outcomes. He also advocates for the well-being of physicians and clinicians, emphasizing how work-life balance is essential to providing optimal patient care.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Hasty is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He finds relaxation and rejuvenation through activities like hiking, skiing, and white-water rafting.

Under Dr. Hasty's leadership, OnCall Solutions continues to provide exceptional support and guidance to both patients and clinicians, ensuring the highest standards of healthcare.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Hasty is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He finds relaxation and rejuvenation through activities like hiking, skiing, and white-water rafting.

Under Dr. Hasty's leadership, OnCall Solutions continues to provide exceptional support and guidance to both patients and clinicians, ensuring the highest standards of healthcare.

Dr. Phil Lim - Chief Medical Officer, Radiology

Radiologist and CMO Dr. Phil Lim brings a wealth of knowledge to the OnCall Solutions team. His medical journey began at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he completed a fellowship in cross-sectional imaging. Dr. Lim’s clinical passions include cardiovascular and placental imaging, with a strong focus on MRI safety.

Outside of his clinical work, he is an avid hiker and enjoys traveling, often exploring national parks and destinations abroad. His contributions to radiology have earned him numerous accolades, including being named a Philadelphia Top Doc from 2017 to 2024. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. As our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Lim is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards to ensure clinical and staffing success for our hospital practice partners.

Jessica Brandt - Chief Advanced Practice Clinician Officer

Jessica Brandt brings nearly 14 years of clinical experience and a deep passion for patient care to her role as Chief Advanced Practice Clinician Officer. Specializing in emergency and trauma medicine, Jessica is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to each patient she serves.

Though her primary focus is clinical work, Jessica also brings significant academic experience. As a full-time professor at Arcadia University’s Physician Assistant Program, she was honored as Clinical Educator of the Year. She continues to mentor second-year PA students during their clinical rotations, shaping the next generation of clinicians with her expertise and dedication.

In her previous role as Director of Education at a high-volume urgent care center, Jessica was instrumental in developing COVID-19 testing and treatment programs in collaboration with the state of Delaware.

Jessica enjoys reading, vacationing in the mountains of Colorado, and spending time with her two children outside of work.

Under her leadership and guidance, OnCall Solutions continues its unwavering commitment to supporting patients and clinicians and ensuring exceptional healthcare delivery.

Michael Skovira brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare to OnCall Solutions. A seasoned clinician and proven healthcare staffing executive, Michael is passionate about connecting the nation’s top physicians and clinicians with hospitals and medical facilities of any size to provide exceptional care for the communities they serve. His dedication to improving both clinical and administrative outcomes has driven him to be a catalyst for change in healthcare staffing.

Living in Connecticut with his wife and three small children, Michael’s personal and professional life is deeply rooted in the betterment of healthcare. He is committed to delivering innovative and reliable solutions that foster long-lasting engagement and retention of the clinical workforce, ultimately reducing contingent spend.

Michael’s thought leadership in the industry is widely recognized. He has been interviewed by Becker’s on key industry trends and has presented on stage in front of several healthcare organizations and state hospital associations. He has also served as a panelist, lecturer, and co-instructor on various healthcare topics and has been featured on prestigious platforms such as the Healthcare Innovation Congress, SIA Healthcare Staffing Summit, AAPA Executive Leadership Conference, and the ACHE/AAPA Leadership Learning Collaborative.
